THE GOURMET GROUP
The Gourmet Group would like to have a larger gathering to have a maintextger group all together and thus have more items on the menu. Our gracious member, Charlotte Sladek, has offered her home for something different, a Brunch. She has a lovely large deck for good weather or inside if needed. We will have room for 20 people. The deadline for making a reservation will be May 6th. Please call Estelle Raderman to reserve your spot.

This is a fundraiser for Tech Trek, an educational opportunity for middle school girls to spend a fabulous live-in week at Mills College, studying math and science careers. Make check payable to AAUW, Hayward/CV Branch and send to: Dee Donaldson

This is a great way to spend an evening when the kids have no homework to do, so bring them for a special treat as well as the whole rest of the family.


Annual Hayward/Castro Valley Installation Luncheon

Come enjoy our annual Installation Luncheon at a new location this year. We will start gathering at the no host bar in the main restaurant at 12:30 p.m. which should give us ample time for registering, getting seated and greeting fellow branch members and guests. At 1:00 p.m. we will feast on a delicious luncheon served with a choice of two entrees: Roasted Chicken or Fettuccine Primavera. Both entrees are served with salad, seasonal vegetable, potato, and dessert. Tax and gratuity are included in the price of $20 for the lunch. Coffee or tea is included in the price of the meal; other drinks are available for an additional cost. At 2:00 p.m., we'll have the installation of new officers and the introduction of our college scholarship recipient. You are in for a special treat this year as our guest speaker is Ms. Felicia Thompson, Poet and Storyteller from Vallejo.

Reservations must be received by Friday, May 27, 2005.
