SCHOLARSHIP
WINNERS
There
are two $1,000 Chabot College scholarship winners
this year, DaBora Lovitt and Tania Haddock.
The committee was so excited about these two
young women that it was hard to choose so it
was decided to give both of them the award.
Dabora Lovitt
is a Mass Communications major. She is working
toward her Journalism/Television Broadcasting
Bachelor of Arts Degree. She will go on to Harvard
in the Fall. She plans continuing on for her
Masters degree in Business Development. Her
dream is to work in the news media to deliver
the voices of the people when she graduates.
She is currently a liaison for Chabot College
going around to the high schools encouraging
them to continue on to college.
Tania Haddock
is an Accounting major and is working toward
her BA in Accounting. She will enter California
State East Bay in the Fall. She is currently
a bookkeeper for a bank and aspires to opening
her own accounting firm in the future. Tania’s
enthusiasm for her work, zest for life and determination
to succeed is inspirational.
They will be speaking
at the Installation luncheon on Saturday, June
10 at the Siam Palace in Hayward. Please plan
to be there to give our newest college affiliates
a great welcome.
